sensitivity disorder
A work-in-progress about the loss of sensitivity in the era of fast news.
What remains when sensitivity disappears? How can it be artificially restored? Are there practices for that?
This work-in-progress was created in New York during my residency at MELT, where I stayed in January 2020. Technically, I worked with frequent contractions of the abdominal muscles, with the mimic memory of crying, with specific breathing techniques, as well as with the emotional context of a Whitney Houston song and certain bodily positions that could potentially provoke tears.
